Collection and recycling rates Under the WEEE Directive, EU member states are required to collect data on waste electrical and electronic equipment and submit it to the European Commission. Information on the disposal of used batteries/accumulators Used batteries and accumulators (hereinafter referred to as used batteries) must not be disposed of in normal household waste. As a consumer, you are even legally obliged to dispose of used batteries in suitable collection points, which is set up at the trade or in the municipality. The batteries can be handed in there free of charge. We are also obliged to take back free of charge used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries. You can return such used batteries free of charge to our dispatch warehouse or send them back to us (Ledlenser GmbH & Co.KG, Kronenstr. 5-7, 42699 Solingen, Germany) with sufficient postage. Please note that batteries may contain pollutants or heavy metals that can harm the environment and/or human health. Special care should be taken when using batteries containing lithium. At the same time, batteries contain important raw materials that can be recycled during separate waste battery collection and do not pollute the environment. Please help reduce battery waste by choosing long-lasting or rechargeable batteries, using batteries only in devices you genuinely need, and replacing old batteries only when they are truly depleted.
