How do the Core, Work and Signature models differ?
Ledlenser is the epitome of innovative spirit, German engineering and high performance. We already offer all this and much more with the well-equipped, high-quality models in the Core line. However, if you need additional functions, such as a light with particularly natural color rendering or an LED lamp with additional lighting functions and an extremely long light range, you can choose a model from the Work and Signature line.
As already mentioned, the differences between the Ledlenser Core, Work and Signature torches and headlamps lie in the details and not in the fact that important functions such as the Advanced Focus System or Magnetic Charge have been sacrificed. If you need a more robust housing or an additional red light source, for example, you should opt for a Work or Signature model. In addition to extended functions, these models also have a larger scope of delivery.
The robust P7R Work not only comes with a battery pack, wrist strap and magnetic charging cable, but also a charging station, belt pouch, adjustable wrist strap, intelligent clip and USB power adapter.
It is also interesting to note that the basic version, the P7R Core, can also compete with its counterpart in the Work line in terms of light output. The P7R Core has a luminous flux of 1400 lumens, a light range of 300 meters and a runtime of up to 90 hours. Although the P7R Work is slightly behind in these respects with 1200 lumens, a light range of 240 m and a running time of 60 hours, it offers functions that can make all the difference in day-to-day work:
- Protective elements on the lamp head and end cap to prevent impact and increase slip resistance
- Additional front screen that protects the lens from scratches
- Neutral white light with particularly natural color rendering (CRI 90)
- Additional white light on the side of the housing for diffuse illumination of the close-up range

Anyone who values an even greater light range and long runtime should consider purchasing the P7R top model. The P7R Signature also has the technologies of the entry-level model, but sets the benchmark among the three models in terms of features. Not only does it achieve a peak value of 2000 lumens and an enormous 330 meter light range, it also impresses with a runtime of 90 hours. It also offers the following functions:
- Mode Switch for direct access to personalized lighting functions thanks to Smart Light Technology
- Additional red light on the side of the housing, e.g. to maintain night vision in the dark
- Hard-anodized housing material for additional protection against wear and corrosion
- Natural color rendering (CRI 80)
The scope of delivery is also impressive. Not only does it come with a pocket clip, which also functions as a roll guard, but also a battery pack, a leather belt pouch, an adjustable wrist strap, a magnetic charging cable, a USB power adapter and a practical wall bracket.
Which model is best suited for which application?
If you are looking for a powerful all-rounder with an excellent price-performance ratio for household, leisure and other uses, the P7R Core is a well-equipped flashlight that leaves practically nothing to be desired. The P7R Core is also suitable for outdoor use thanks to its IP68 protection class. If you need a more robust housing and cannot do without features such as an additional white light and a true-color light beam for your job, you should consider the P7R Work. This model also scores points with its extended scope of delivery, which includes a charging station.
The P7R top model from the Signature line, which is designed especially for the outdoor, sports, photography and lifestyle sectors, offers a complete performance and function package in addition to a higher output. Among other things, the greater light range and higher luminous flux ensure even better illumination on hiking trails at dusk and at night. The natural color rendition makes it easier to examine photos and the additional red light is ideal for reading bedtime stories in a tent without straining your eyes.

The functionality of your equipment benefits considerably when accessories and spare parts are compatible with the respective headlamp and flashlight. For this very reason, we at Ledlenser rely on a principle that welds the Core, Work and Signature lines together to form a family.
