Together with around 5,000 trail runners from nearly 50 nations, we were part of a unique trail running festival around Germany’s highest mountain at the Zugspitz Ultratrail 2026.
We are especially proud of our athlete Ida-Sophie Hegemann, who secured victory in the 74-kilometre Ehrwald Trail. With endurance, determination and an impressive performance on the demanding trails around the Zugspitze, she made a powerful statement at this year’s ZUT.
But it wasn’t only the seven races – from the 16-kilometre Grainau Trail to the 166-kilometre ZUT100 – that made this weekend so special. Above all, it was the shared experiences with the community that will remain unforgettable: at the Community Nightrun, in the Ledlenser Light Hub and along the course, where athletes and fans came together to share their passion for trail running.
Before the first runners set off on the trails around the Zugspitze, we came together with our athlete Ida-Sophie Hegemann and the trail running community for a special shake-out run. With headlamps switched on and race anticipation building, the evening was all about connecting, sharing experiences, and getting ready for the adventures ahead. Enjoy some impressions from a memorable night powered by KoRo and DRYLL.
