Legal basis
We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with EU Directive 2016/2102, the German Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), and WCAG 2.1 (conformity level AA).

Following internal review and external testing, the website is:

• Partially accessible, with maximum compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Accessible features available: Semantic HTML structure, clear headings. Text alternatives (alt texts) for images. Keyboard control and visible focus indicator. Color contrasts of at least 3:1 (graphic elements) to 4.5:1 (text). Responsive design, zoomable content up to 200% without loss of functionality Remaining limitations:
• Alternative text is occasionally missing from infographics; more explanatory text is planned.
• Contrast settings and text size selection are missing (users must use browser/system options).
• No sign language or content in easy-to-read language available 
2. Non-accessible content (exceptions)

Infographics without complete ALT texts
Color contrast/zoom functions in UI
Content only in standard German (no easy language/sign language)
Reason for non-accessibility:

Technically complex, rectification within schedule
No automatic tool available – use browser/OS

3. Accessibility features

• Text zoom up to 200% via browser and responsive design.
• Keyboard navigation: Navigation without mouse possible, focus visible.
• Alt texts for visual content (where possible).
• Screen reader compatibility – valid HTML structure & ARIA.
• No time-based automatic scrolling or moving content without control. Note: We are continuously working on improvements and will update this statement annually or after major changes.
