45 DAYS OF DARKNESS
What happens when the sun doesn't rise above the horizon for 45 days? How do people manage to live for weeks in almost complete darkness? Former freestyle skier and current psychologist and filmmaker Caja Schöpf travels to meet people who experience this phenomenon year after year. In Tromsø, in the far north of Norway, the Mørketid, or 'dark time', begins on 27 November. Above the Arctic Circle, Caja meets people who have learned to embrace the absence of light as a special phase of life, filled with calm, connection, and inner clarity.
